Use Tasks in MediaOS to Assign Duties

Tasks in MediaOS are used in order to assign duties to either yourself or other users in the following areas:

  • Accounts
  • Agencies
  • Contacts
  • Deals
  • Contracts
  • Line Items
  • Ad Requests
  • Flat Plan
  • Content
  • Invoices
  • Payments

When building a task, you are able to assign a user to complete the task, a due date, status, percentage completion, and a project. Notes and sub-tasks are also able to use. You are also able to tag other users using the @ sign!

What is the difference between a task and a follow-up?

Follow-ups are only used at the account level, tasks can be used in all of the above areas. Follow-ups are good for quick reminders for sales representatives to contact accounts – tasks are used for more in-depth assignments.

Projects

Projects are collection of tasks. Using projects allows you to compile tasks and segment them using dependencies.
