How to Set Up Microsoft SSO

Simplify your registration process and grow your audience faster by enabling Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) through your MediaOS-integrated website.

Why Enable Microsoft SSO? #

Making registration easy and seamless is essential for boosting user engagement. MediaOS supports several Single Sign-On (SSO) options—including Google, LinkedIn, and Microsoft accounts—so visitors can skip lengthy forms and log in immediately. Adding SSO options not only increases the number of users registering on your site, but it also automatically adds new users into your CRM and can even enroll them in MediaOS-enabled newsletters. If your website is using the MediaOS Digital Publisher’s Tech Stack, enabling Microsoft SSO is a fast and effective way to expand your user base while keeping your data organized.

Setting Up Microsoft SSO #

To begin setting up Microsoft SSO, first navigate to the Microsoft Azure Portal by visiting https://portal.azure.com. Once logged in, click on App Registrations from the portal’s main menu, then select New Registration to start creating your app. During registration, under Supported Account Types, choose the option that includes Accounts in any organizational directory (Any Microsoft Entra ID tenant—Multitenant) and personal Microsoft accounts (such as Skype or Xbox accounts). For the Redirect URI, select Web and enter the following URL:

After filling out all the necessary fields, click Register to finalize your app creation.

Once the app is successfully registered, you’ll be directed to the overview screen where you should immediately copy the Application (Client) ID. This will serve as the Client ID required to integrate Microsoft SSO with your MediaOS platform.

Next, you’ll need to create a Client Secret. To do this, click Add a Certificate or Secret, then choose New Client Secret. Assign a descriptive name to the secret, set its expiration to 24 months, and click Add. After the client secret is generated, make sure to copy the Value right away, as it will not be displayed again and will be used as your Client Secret for the integration.

With both your Application (Client) ID and your Client Secret in hand, the final step is to send these keys to your MediaOS Account Manager. Once the keys are received and processed, your Microsoft SSO integration will be fully set up and ready to offer a faster, easier login experience for your users.
