Installing the MediaOS WordPress plugin is the gateway to unlocking the full power of your MediaOS tools. With just a few simple steps, your site gains access to advanced advertising capabilities, business directories, and integrated content features—all designed to streamline operations and elevate the value of your website. This essential connection enables dynamic, real-time communication between your site and MediaOS, giving you greater control, flexibility, and insight across your entire digital experience.
Getting Started #
Before you can access MediaOS features such as the Ad Server or Business Directory, you must install the MediaOS WordPress plugin. Please note that the MediaOS Ad Server is designed exclusively for WordPress websites and will not function on other platforms.
Downloading and Installing the Plugin #
To begin, log into MediaOS and navigate to the Members tab on the left-hand navigation menu. Click Websites from the options on the next screen, then click New Website in the top-right corner. From there, click Download WordPress Plugin and follow the installation instructions displayed.
After downloading the plugin, log into your WordPress site. In the left-hand toolbar, click Plugins, then select Add New from the dropdown menu. On the Add Plugins page, click Upload Plugin at the top. You’ll be prompted to choose the .zip file you downloaded from MediaOS—upload it here. Once the upload is complete, navigate to Installed Plugins in WordPress, locate MediaOS Services, and click the checkbox to activate the plugin.
Connecting Your Site to MediaOS #
Once the plugin is active, return to MediaOS and click Proceed to Next Step. On the following screen, enter your website’s name and URL in the appropriate fields. Make sure to toggle WordPress Enabled to confirm that your site is powered by WordPress. You’ll also be asked to enter your WordPress Admin login and password credentials, which allow MediaOS to pull information about your site's pages, posts, categories, post types, and more.
After entering your details, click Connect. If the connection is successful, the Website section will update, and you’ll see that your site is listed as Up-to-Date under the Version field.
Next Steps #
Now that you have installed and connected the MediaOS WordPress plugin, you are ready to start setting up your Ad Server or launching your Business Directory features within MediaOS. Your site is now fully prepared to take advantage of seamless advertising integrations and dynamic content management powered directly through your dashboard.
