Setting Up the Monday.com Integration

We excited to announce we now offer an integration with Monday.com. Follow the steps below for setting up the Monday.com integration and some recommended use-case scenarios.

How to Set Up the Monday.com Integration #

  1. Click on your profile picture at the bottom of the navigation menu in MediaOS. 
  2. Choose Integrations.
  3. Scroll down to Monday.com. 
  4. Click Configure.
  5. On the next screen, enter the API key in the blank.
    • Note: You can find this through documentation at Monday.com itself.
  6. Click Save.

How to Use the Monday.com Integration #

The Monday.com integration is very similar in practice with our Slack integration, and you’ll mainly use it within workflows. 

Recommended best practice for using the Monday.com integration: Setting up a workflow to automatically assign team members tasks inside Monday.com after a contract has been set to won. 

The steps below will walk you through how to set up this automated workflow.

  1. Choose Automation from the left hand menu. 
  2. Click Workflows in the top menu. 
  3. Click + New Workflow in the top right corner. 
  4. Choose Line Item under the Start a Workflow When step.
  5. Choose the conditions Added to a Won Contract and Contract Is Won from the options list below. 
  6. Click Save
  7. Next, click the + (plus sign).
  8. Should you want to create tasks for specific products, from the list of options on the right, choose Match on Contract/Proposal
    • Note: If your tasks are the same across all products you can skip this step.
  9. Click the gray box that appears in the workflow area.
  10. In the pop up on the right, choose the product you want to set this workflow for.
  11. Click Save.
  12. On the workflow screen, under the green Matched label, click the + (plus sign)
  13. Then, on the right hand pop up, choose Monday.com.
  14. On the workflow screen, click the gray box that says Monday.com to filter the action further.
  15. On the right hand pop up, you can enter a description, assign the task to a certain Monday.com board (these will automatically populate based on the boards you have set in Monday.com), set a Task Name, and even subtasks. 
  16. Click Save
  17. Click Activate in the top right corner.

Now, whenever a contract containing the specific product you determined is set to won, tasks will automatically populate inside your Monday.com board.
