Switching Quickbooks Accounts

While we do not recommend changing Quickbooks Online accounts we understand that the necessity to switch to a different Quickbooks account can, at times, unavoidable. MediaOS has a vetted process for switching to another Quickbooks account.

Prior to deciding to make the switch to another Quickbooks Online account, there are a few things to consider.

  • - Our support staff will work with you to fully disconnect your current Quickbooks account from MediaOS.
    - Switching from one Quickbooks Online account to another will result in all invoicing and payment data to be removed from MediaOS.
    - You will be responsible for exporting a copy of all invoices and payments from your MediaOS account prior to disconnecting from your current Quickbooks Online account.
    - MediaOS cannot provide support for merging or importing relevant invoice or payment data into your new Quickbooks Online account.
    - Once your new Quickbooks account is connected you will need to re-map all products and accounts to Quickbooks.

Follow these steps should you determine that moving to a new Quickbooks Online account is necessary.

  • - Contact our support team at support@mediaos.com. A member of our support staff will schedule a call to walk through the process.
  • - Prior to disconnecting your current Quickbooks Online account, you will need to ensure that you have exported a copy of invoices and payments from your MediaOS account.
  • - Your new Quickbooks Online account will need to have relevant accounts, invoices, and payments imported into it.
  • - Quickbooks Items will need to be created in your new Quickbooks account.
  • - Once you have completed these steps, confirm with our support team that you are ready to switch accounts.
  • - When our team has received confirmation, we will fully sever all ties with your current Quickbooks account and confirm that accounting data no longer exists in your MediaOS system.
