Creating & Converting Leads to Accounts in MediaOS

MediaOS simplifies lead and account management, eliminating the need for outdated tracking methods like rolodexes and notepads. With its built-in CRM, sales teams can easily create, track, and contact both prospects and accounts. Leads in MediaOS help manage potential business opportunities before a contract is signed, ensuring an organized and efficient sales process. By leveraging leads and accounts effectively, teams can improve efficiency, streamline client management, and maintain clear, structured workflows.

What is a Lead? #

A Lead in MediaOS is a prospective account representing a potential business opportunity. A lead automatically converts into an Account when a contract is marked as Won. Once this conversion occurs, the lead cannot be reverted back to a lead.

What is an Account? #

In MediaOS, an Account represents a business or organization that has successfully moved beyond the lead stage by having a contract marked as Won. This conversion can happen automatically when a lead electronically signs a proposal, which sets the contract status to Won and creates the account. Alternatively, users can manually update a contract to Won, which will also trigger the lead’s conversion into an account. Once converted, the account becomes the central hub for managing the client relationship, including contracts, billing, communications, and delivery activities.

How to differentiate between Lead & Accounts #

In MediaOS, the Type field allows users to quickly distinguish between leads and accounts. This classification helps streamline workflows, ensuring that leads are nurtured appropriately while accounts receive the necessary service and support.

How to Create a Lead in MediaOS #

Creating a lead in MediaOS can be done in several ways, depending on where you're working within the platform. You can start by clicking the +New button from the navigation panel and selecting Account, or by using the keyboard shortcut Option+A. Alternatively, you can go to the Accounts page and click +New in the top-right corner. No matter which method you choose, the New Account window will appear. From there, select Lead & Account, fill in the contact information, and click Create. Once the lead has a contract marked as Won, it will automatically convert to a full account in the system.
