Creating & Converting Leads to Accounts in MediaOS

MediaOS simplifies lead and account management, eliminating the need for outdated tracking methods like rolodexes and notepads. With its built-in CRM, sales teams can easily create, track, and contact both prospects and accounts. Leads in MediaOS help manage potential business opportunities before a contract is signed, ensuring an organized and efficient sales process. By leveraging leads and accounts effectively, teams can improve efficiency, streamline client management, and maintain clear, structured workflows.

What is a Lead? #

A Lead in MediaOS is a prospective account representing a potential business opportunity. A lead automatically converts into an Account when a contract is marked as Won. Once this conversion occurs, the lead cannot be reverted back to a lead.

What is an Account? #

In MediaOS, an Account represents a business or organization that has successfully converted from a lead after a contract is set to Won. Accounts serve as the central entity for managing ongoing relationships, including contracts, billing, and delivery. An account is automatically created when a lead’s proposal is marked as Won in the system, either through:

  • Electronic Signature – When a lead signs a proposal electronically, the contract is automatically set to Won, converting the lead into an account.
  • Manual Conversion – Users can manually mark a contract as Won, which will also trigger the conversion.

How to differentiate between Lead & Accounts #

In MediaOS, the Type field allows users to quickly distinguish between leads and accounts. This classification helps streamline workflows, ensuring that leads are nurtured appropriately while accounts receive the necessary service and support.

How to Create a Lead in MediaOS #

There are multiple ways to add an Account Lead from anywhere in MediaOS. You can:

  • Click on the +New sign from the navigation panel and select Account.
  • Shortcut select Option+A.
  • From the Accounts page, select +New in the top right hand corner.

From any of the above options, select Lead & Account from the New Account window. Enter in the contact information, then select Create. Once the lead has a contract set to won, it will automatically convert to an account.
