Automatically include ad previews on invoices so clients can see exactly how their placements appear on the page.
What Are Tear Sheets? #
Tear sheets provide a visual proof of placement for advertisers by showing how their ad appeared on the actual publication layout. In MediaOS, tear sheets can be embedded directly into your invoice PDFs, offering added transparency and professionalism in your billing process.
These tear sheets are generated dynamically and reflect the final design from the Flat Plan, making it easy for clients to verify their ad placement without needing a separate proofing process.
Enabling Tear Sheets on Invoice Templates #
To enable tear sheets, start by logging into MediaOS and clicking your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner of the screen. From the menu, select System Settings, then click Templates. If you don't know how to edit your templates, then click here.
Locate your Invoice template and click Edit. Scroll to the bottom of the template editor, where you should see a Tear Sheets dynamic content block and an Ads merge block.
The Tear Sheet merge block pulls in a snapshot of the placed ad as it appears on the Flat Plan, while the Ad merge block displays the Primary Ad assigned to the insertion. These blocks allow you to show both the visual placement and the actual creative.
Note: The Tear Sheet merge block will only populate content if the line item on the invoice has been placed on the Flat Plan and a finished design has been uploaded to the specific page where the ad appears. This applies to issue-based products only.
These merge blocks are included in the default invoice templates, but you can edit or move them as needed to customize the layout.
