Your Dashboard is more than a homepage—it’s your personalized launchpad for action. MediaOS dashboards put the most important insights, reports, and tasks at your fingertips, helping you focus on what matters, respond faster, and make smarter decisions every day. Whether you're tracking sales performance, monitoring renewals, or staying ahead of tasks, dashboards turn data into clarity and insight into momentum.
Editing and Customizing Your Dashboard #
Dashboards in MediaOS are always in Edit Mode, allowing you to tailor your view at any time. You can click and drag widgets to reorder them based on priority. If you need to update or remove a widget, simply use the three-dot menu located on each widget. To add new insights to your workspace, click Add Widget in the top-right corner and browse a selection of commonly used widgets that align with your workflow.
Adding Custom Reports to Your Dashboard # #
You can also add saved custom reports directly onto your dashboard for quick and ongoing access. To do this, start by clicking Reports from the left-hand navigation bar. Scroll down to the Sales Management section and select Product Sales Summary & Analysis to open the report builder. Apply your desired filters at the top of the page, and once you're satisfied with the setup, click Run Report.
When your custom report appears, click Save in the top-right area above the report. Give your report a clear Report Name, and under the Add to Dashboard dropdown, select the dashboard where you want the report to appear. After saving, navigate back to your home screen where you should now see the custom report embedded directly on your dashboard.
You can easily rearrange, resize, or remove this report just like any other widget. This makes it easy to keep your most important reports front and center without needing to rebuild or rerun them every time you log in.
Powerful Widgets You Can Add #
MediaOS offers a wide range of widgets that bring valuable data directly to your dashboard. For example, the Expiring Contracts widget helps you keep track of which contracts are nearing their end, with filters available by product, days remaining, or contract owner. The Action Overview widget integrates with your calendar and task list, displaying upcoming events, automations, and tasks—color-coded for urgency with red indicating due or overdue items.
The Sales Goals widget displays personal or team performance metrics, while the Activities Report summarizes completed tasks, sales progress, commissions, and more. Favorite Reports allow you to pin saved reporting views for easy access, and the Activity Feed provides real-time updates from across your MediaOS environment. You can also resize and align widgets to create a clean, easy-to-read dashboard layout that matches your daily needs.
How to Add a Report Widget # #
To add a report widget, start by navigating to your dashboard and clicking the Add Widget button located in the top-right corner. This will open the widget inventory, where you’ll see a list of all available dashboard widgets. Among these options, you’ll find several report-based widgets, including Advertiser Last Run Date, Expiring Contracts, Past Due Invoices, and even saved reports that you have built previously.
To add a widget to your dashboard, click the name of the report you want to include. After clicking, you will be prompted to configure the widget’s parameters. These settings will vary depending on the specific report you are adding. For example, if you are adding a saved report, you may be asked to choose which saved report you want to view and how you would like the data presented within the widget. After setting your preferences, click the Add Widget button to finalize and place the widget on your dashboard.
Once the widget appears, you can drag and drop it into your preferred location. You can also resize it to better fit your dashboard layout and create a more organized, easy-to-scan view.
Tip: Strategically placing and sizing your report widgets ensures that your dashboard stays clean, focused, and aligned with your daily priorities.
Adding the Favorite Reports Widget # #
Another great option you can add to your dashboard is the Favorite Reports Widget. This widget provides quick access to all the reports you’ve marked as favorites, making it easy to navigate to your most important data without extra clicks.
To add the Favorite Reports Widget, click the + Add Widget button on your dashboard, then select Favorite Reports from the widget inventory. Once selected, you can drag and drop the widget into your desired location on the dashboard. If you want to better fit your layout, you can also click and drag the bottom-right corner of the widget to resize it.
Once placed, the Favorite Reports Widget will display a list of all saved reports you have access to, giving you immediate, one-click access to critical reporting views right from your dashboard.
Recommended Widgets for a Sales Management Dashboard # #
If you’re setting up a dashboard specifically for sales management, MediaOS offers several highly recommended widgets to make your workspace even more effective. Adding these widgets helps you track team activities, manage renewals, and monitor performance in real time.
The Activity Feed widget allows you to monitor what your sales reps are doing throughout the workday. You can use the search bar to quickly find specific activities or pin important updates by clicking the flag icon next to an item.
The Expiring Contracts widget helps you identify contracts that are nearing expiration and need re-engagement. You can customize this widget by clicking the three-dot menu and selecting Edit, allowing you to filter by product, choose whether to view only your contracts or all contracts, and set a time range based on the number of days until expiration. Always remember to click Save Widget after making edits.
The Sales Goals widget gives a snapshot of how sales reps are progressing toward their individual or team goals. By default, this widget shows the next 90 days, but you can adjust the timeframe using the dropdown menu at the top-left corner. You can also filter results by sales rep or toggle between individual and company goals at the top-right corner. For deeper reporting, you can always access the full goals report by navigating to the Sales page and clicking on the Goals tab.
The Issue Statistics widget allows you to pick specific issues and customize which data points you want to display, such as the Average Per Ad Page. You can add multiple Issue Statistics widgets if you want to track several issues side-by-side, providing a more detailed snapshot of your sales performance across different products.
Tip: Every widget on your dashboard can be rearranged, resized, or removed at any time to keep your workspace dynamic and aligned with your changing needs.
Interacting with Tasks and Comments #
Tasks and comments on the dashboard are fully interactive. Clicking on a task allows you to edit it, mark it complete, or add subtasks directly from your dashboard view. You can also add context by using the comment box, tagging teammates with @mentions to notify them instantly by both email and their Today tab, keeping communication seamless and centralized.
Adding Saved Searches & Reports #
Saved searches and custom reports can also be embedded directly onto your dashboard. After running a search—such as "Accounts with no activity in 6 months"—save it as a tab. From there, use the Add to Dashboard button available in the tab menu or from the report hover state, and select the dashboard where you want the search or report to appear. This feature ensures that your key data points are always just one click away.
Sharing Your Dashboard # #
Sharing dashboards with teammates in MediaOS is simple and helps promote transparency across departments. To share a dashboard, click the name of the dashboard you want to share in the top navigation bar. Then, click Manage in the top-right corner. A pop-up will appear showing all your dashboards along with their current status—whether they are shared or private.
Keep in mind that what others can see on shared dashboards depends on the security settings tied to their user account. If your own account security is open, everyone you share the dashboard with will see everything you can see. However, if your sales user security settings are more restricted, users will only see their own data when viewing the shared dashboard. To share a dashboard, simply click the toggle next to the dashboard name. If someone no longer wants to see a shared dashboard, they can click the three lines next to its name and drag it into the Hidden section.
Managing Dashboards #
Managing your dashboards is simple and flexible. By clicking the Manage button, you can reorder dashboards via drag-and-drop, share dashboards with teammates (while respecting user permissions), hide dashboards you no longer use, and compact dashboards to remove unnecessary white space. You can also create entirely new dashboards by clicking on the dashboard title, naming the new dashboard, and designing a customized view for specific workflows or teams.
Note: Shared dashboards can be displayed on office TVs using the "Copy Link" (TV icon).
Visual Reports & Charts #
Graphical reports such as pie charts, bar charts, or line graphs can also be embedded directly into your dashboards. To do this, hover over any visual element inside a report, click Add to Dashboard, and select the desired dashboard. This brings live visual reporting into your daily view, making trends and key metrics easy to spot at a glance.
Best Practices for a Productive Dashboard #
When setting up your dashboard, always think about what information you need to see first every morning. Do you want immediate visibility into active deals and upcoming deadlines? Is tracking team goals and commissions your top priority? Or do you need quick access to reports that highlight potential red flags? Designing your dashboard around your daily priorities ensures that every login sets you up for a focused, productive day.
