Dashboards in MediaOS let you instantly access the most important information to stay focused and on track. Whether you're monitoring sales goals, tracking expiring contracts, or managing daily tasks, your dashboard is your launchpad for success.
What is the Dashboard? #
When you log into MediaOS, you're greeted with your personal dashboard — labeled My Dashboard. It's a customizable space that keeps key insights and action items front and center.
Editing and Customizing Your Dashboard #
Dashboards are always in edit mode:
- Click and drag widgets to reorder.
- Use the three-dot menu on any widget to edit or remove it.
- Click Add Widget in the top-right to browse commonly used widgets.
Powerful Widgets You Can Add #
Here are just a few of the useful widgets you can place on your dashboard:
- Expiring Contracts – See which contracts are nearing their end. Filter by product, days remaining, or contract owner.
- Action Overview – Integrated with your calendar and task list, it shows:
- Events
- Automations
- Tasks (color-coded: red = due or overdue)
- Sales Goals – View your own or your team's performance metrics.
- Activities Report – A summary of completed work, sales, commissions, and more.
- Favorite Reports – Quick access to custom or saved reporting views.
- Activity Feed – Real-time updates from across your MediaOS environment.
Tip: You can resize and align widgets to create a clean, easy-to-read layout.
Interacting with Tasks and Comments #
- Click tasks to edit, mark complete, or add subtasks.
- Use the comment box to add context or tag teammates (they'll be notified by email and in the Today tab).
Adding Saved Searches & Reports #
Saved searches and reports can also live right on your dashboard!
- Run a search (e.g., “Accounts with no activity in 6 months”).
- Save it as a tab.
- Click the Add to Dashboard button from the tab menu or report hover state.
- Choose which dashboard to place it on.
Managing Dashboards #
Use the Manage button to:
- Reorder dashboards via drag-and-drop
- Share dashboards with teammates (respects user permissions)
- Hide dashboards you don’t use
- Compact dashboards to remove dead space
- Create New Dashboards and name them by clicking on the dashboard title
Note: Shared dashboards can be displayed on office TVs using the "Copy Link" (TV icon).
Visual Reports & Charts #
You can add graphical reports (like pie charts or line graphs) directly to dashboards:
- Just hover over a visual in any report.
- Click Add to Dashboard and choose where it goes.
Best Practices for a Productive Dashboard #
Think about what you need to see first every day:
- Active deals and upcoming deadlines?
- Team goals and commissions?
- Reports that highlight trends or red flags?
Set your dashboard up accordingly, and you’ll always start your day with clarity.
