MediaOS makes it easy to track real-world results, especially for offline campaigns like print ads and billboards. With built-in Call Tracking, you can assign a unique number to any campaign, record conversations, measure engagement, and prove ROI with clear, actionable data—all from inside your Delivery workspace.
Setting Up Call Tracking #
To set up a trackable phone number, start by logging into the MediaOS platform. If you don’t have your login credentials, contact your team leadership to retrieve them. Once logged in, click the Delivery icon from the left-hand sidebar to access the Delivery workspace.
At the top of the page, you’ll see several tabs. Confirm that you are on the Line Items tab. Find the line item you'd like to track and click View. A dialog box will appear with all related configuration options.
Scroll down until you see the Call Tracking Analytics section, then click the Set Up Phone Number tab. First, enter your area code in the indicated field. MediaOS will generate a list of available numbers. Choose one from the dropdown menu.
Next, in the Auto Delete After field, type in the number of months you want to retain the phone number. For most use cases, it's best practice to extend this period so you can continue tracking beyond the campaign's end date.
In the Send Caller to Phone Number field, enter the forwarding phone number—this is where calls to the tracked number will be redirected (e.g., your advertiser’s business line). Once all information is filled out, click the blue Purchase button to confirm. MediaOS will process the request and apply the associated charge to your account.
What Happens After Setup #
Once the phone number is active, any call made to that number will be automatically forwarded to the designated business line. The system will play a short message informing the caller that the call is being recorded for quality assurance.
Each call is then recorded and logged in the system, giving you full access to playback. You’ll also gain visibility into call duration and total number of calls received, allowing you and your advertisers to track engagement and performance for that campaign with real, measurable data.
Tip: Use unique call tracking numbers for each major campaign or product category to measure their individual effectiveness.
