MediaOS supports seamless payment processing through two trusted providers—Authorize.net and Stripe. While integration is optional, connecting a payment gateway allows you to accept payments directly within the platform for Memberships, CRM+, and other billing tools.
Before integrating, you must already have an active account with either Authorize.net or Stripe. MediaOS does not handle or store transaction data directly. All transactions are processed solely through your selected provider, and any transaction failures or technical issues must be addressed with them directly.
Important Tip: Once a payment processor is integrated, do not switch accounts. Changing Authorize.net or Stripe credentials after integration may result in payment failures and the loss of saved credit cards or bank account data. MediaOS support cannot assist with errors caused by switching payment processor accounts.
Choosing Between Authorize.net and Stripe #
Both processors offer reliable, secure payment capabilities—but there are key differences to consider based on your billing needs.
Authorize.net is ideal for teams looking to accept both ACH payments and credit cards. It supports stored payment methods (cards and bank accounts) and can integrate with other external systems that also connect through Authorize.net. If you're looking to minimize credit card processing fees and offer bank draft payments, Authorize.net is your best option.
Stripe, on the other hand, is faster and more cost-effective than Authorize.net, but it only supports credit cards within MediaOS. This is due to limitations in Stripe’s API, which currently does not support ACH payments through the MediaOS integration.
How to Integrate Your Payment Processor #
To connect your account, click your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner of the screen, then select Integrations from the menu. In the search bar, type Authorize.net or Stripe, depending on your choice. Once the option appears, click Configure and enter your username and password to complete the setup process.
Once integration is complete, you’ll be able to securely accept payments within MediaOS through your preferred gateway.
Additional Notes for Authorize.net Users #
Integrating Authorize.net provides additional flexibility, including the ability to store credit cards, store bank accounts, and enable auto-pay for recurring transactions. However, you must have Customer Information Manager (CIM) activated in your Authorize.net account in order to use these features with MediaOS.
Note: MediaOS does not support Authorize.net’s Fraud Detection Services. If you rely on these tools, you’ll need to configure and manage them directly within your Authorize.net account.
