The Monday.com integration in MediaOS helps automate task management by connecting your project workflows directly to sales activity. With this setup, you can instantly generate tasks in Monday.com when contracts are won, ensuring a seamless handoff from sales to execution. Whether you're managing post-sale deliverables or coordinating internal teams, this integration keeps everything in sync and eliminates manual entry between platforms.
Setting Up the Monday.com Integration #
To begin, click on your profile picture located at the bottom of the navigation menu in MediaOS. From the options that appear, choose Integrations and scroll down until you locate Monday.com. Click the Configure button to start the setup process.
On the configuration screen, you’ll be asked to enter your API Key. You can find this key directly through your Monday.com account by following their API documentation. Once you've entered your API key, click Save to complete the connection. After this step, your MediaOS and Monday.com accounts will be linked and ready to use within automation workflows.
Using the Monday.com Integration #
The Monday.com integration functions similarly to the Slack integration in MediaOS, primarily working within your automation workflows. One of the most powerful use cases is the ability to automatically assign tasks to team members in Monday.com once a contract has been marked as won inside MediaOS. This ensures your handoff from sales to execution is both fast and accurate.
To build this workflow, start by choosing Automation from the left-hand menu in MediaOS. From there, click Workflows at the top of the screen, then select + New Workflow in the top-right corner. Begin the automation by choosing Line Item as the trigger under the Start a Workflow When step. Then, set your conditions to Added to a Won Contract and Contract Is Won to ensure this workflow only activates when a deal has been finalized. Click Save to confirm your conditions.
To tailor the workflow to specific products, click the + (plus sign) and select Match on Contract/Proposal from the list of available options. If your task creation process is the same regardless of product, you can skip this step. If you're proceeding, click the gray box that appears within the workflow canvas. In the configuration panel on the right, choose the product you want to associate with the task workflow, then click Save.
Once the product match has been created, you'll see a Matched label on the workflow screen. Under that label, click the + (plus sign) again and select Monday.com from the list of actions. This step allows MediaOS to generate tasks inside your Monday.com workspace based on your settings.
Click the gray Monday.com box that appears in the workflow to open its configuration panel. Here, you can enter a Task Description, assign the task to a specific Monday.com Board, and define a Task Name. Boards will populate automatically based on what exists in your connected Monday.com account. You can also set up Subtasks if needed.
Once your configuration is complete, click Save and then select Activate in the top-right corner of the screen. Your workflow is now live and ready to assign tasks in Monday.com automatically whenever a contract is won in MediaOS.
