Moving The Accessibility Menu

Sometimes, the accessibility menu will look totally fine on a desktop view, however once you switch over to a mobile view, it will cover the hamburger menu. Remember, it is crucial to make sure your website's view on mobile is perfect, as that is where a majority of your audience will view your site. It is crucial to check this every time you set up a site.

Steps in Moving the Accessibility Menu on Mobile #

While logged into the dashboard for your site that you want to edit, hover over the site name, then choose visit site. (Note: it is easier to open this in another tab).

From the site’s home page, click Customize, then select Accessibility from the menu. Scroll down to the Offset from Top (Mobile) setting, where you can enter a pixel value—80px is typically ideal, as it positions the Accessibility icon just below the mobile header. To preview your change, click the mobile icon located in the bottom-right corner of the left-hand menu. (See the image below for reference.)
