Disabling QuickBooks Sync for Members

If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO) for accounting and financial reporting, MediaOS provides flexibility in how member transactions are synced. This article explains how to selectively disable QuickBooks sync for members while continuing to sync advertiser revenue data.

How to Disable QuickBooks Sync for Members #

For teams using QuickBooks Online to manage invoices and payments, syncing financial data from MediaOS is a key part of ensuring accurate records. However, in some cases, you may want to disable this sync for members while continuing to keep advertiser data fully integrated. To do this, click on your profile photo, navigate to System Settings, then go to General Settings. From there, locate the toggle that controls syncing for members and switch it off to disable the feature.

When you disable invoice and payment syncing for members, any financial activity related to those members will no longer be transferred to QuickBooks. However, all advertiser accounting data, including invoices and payments, will continue syncing as usual—ensuring that revenue from advertisers remains fully up to date in your QBO records.

Keep in mind that once syncing is turned off, member-related financial transactions must be managed manually in your accounting system. This option provides flexibility for organizations that track member payments separately or prefer to manage them outside of QuickBooks.

Tip: Use this setting when you want to streamline advertiser revenue tracking in QBO while keeping member financial activity separate for internal management or reporting.
