What are Tasks in MediaOS? #
Tasks in MediaOS are designed to help you assign responsibilities—either to yourself or to other users—across various areas of the platform, including Accounts, Agencies, Contacts, Deals, Contracts, Line Items, Ad Requests, Flat Plan, Content, Invoices, and Payments. When creating a task, you can define the task name, assign a due date, and link it to a specific project for better tracking. MediaOS also allows you to monitor the status of each task, helping your team stay aligned on progress and deadlines. Additionally, you can tag team members using the @ symbol to ensure the right people are looped in for collaboration or follow-up.
Tip: To be as organized and efficient as possible, you can also use notes and sub-tasks.
What is the difference between a task and a follow-up? #
Follow-ups are only used at the account level, tasks can be used in all of the above areas. Follow-ups are good for quick reminders for sales representatives to contact accounts - tasks are used for more in-depth assignments.
What are Projects? #
Projects are collection of tasks. Using projects allows you to compile tasks and segment them using dependencies.
