Maintaining strong password hygiene is essential for keeping your MediaOS account secure. As a best practice, we recommend setting a calendar reminder to update your password every 90 to 120 days. MediaOS makes it easy for both individual users and Admins to update passwords as needed.
How to Change Your Own Password #
Any user can update their password by navigating to Personal Settings. To access this, click your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner of the screen and select Personal Settings from the menu.
Scroll to the password section. Enter your new password in the Password field, and then confirm it by typing the same password again in the Confirm Password field. Once completed, click Save to update your credentials.
Your password change will take effect immediately, and you can continue using MediaOS with your updated login details.
How an Admin Can Change a User’s Password #
If you're an Admin and need to reset a password for another user, start by clicking your profile avatar and selecting Users from the navigation menu. Find the user you want to update, then click the Edit icon next to their name.
In the user settings panel, enter a new password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields. Once you’ve entered the new credentials, click Save to apply the change. Be sure to notify the user of their new password so they can log in.
