MediaOS Reporting+ gives you powerful tools to visualize, sort, and analyze large sets of data across multiple modules. If you're looking to understand performance metrics, track campaign progress, or identify patterns across teams and timelines, Reporting+ lets you do all of that with ease—using customizable pivot tables and visual charts.
What is Reporting+? #
Reporting+ refers to advanced reports in MediaOS that include pivot table capabilities. You’ll see this format in Contracts+ as well as other reports marked with a "+" such as Deals+, Ad Requests+, Ad Proofs+, Memberships+, Newsletter Subscriptions+, Best of Voting+, Web Pages+, and more.
These reports work nearly identically to Contracts+, but each one offers unique fields and filters depending on the module.
Note: Watch the video at the top of this article for a walkthrough of how the Contracts+ report works. This video applies to all "+" reports with only slight variations in the filters and fields.
What is a Pivot Table? #
A pivot table summarizes and reorganizes large amounts of data so you can view it from different angles. You can use it to extract meaningful insights and break down complex data into easily digestible formats.
With MediaOS Reporting+, you can view pivot data as a:
- Traditional data table.
- Pie Chart.
- Bar Chart.
- Line Graph.
These flexible options help you understand patterns visually or in raw numbers—whatever works best for your workflow.
How Does the Pivot Table Work? #
Every Reporting+ pivot table uses a core structure based on three components:
Header Column + Left Side Column = Total By
For example:
- Left Side Column: Sold By Rep
- Header Column: Deal Created Date
- Total By: Average Days to Close
This setup will show you a breakdown of each sales representative's average number of days to close a deal, sorted by the date the deal was created.
You can also fine-tune your reports by:
- Adjusting date-based fields (like the Header Column or Left Side Column) to sort by Weeks, Months, Quarters, or Years.
- Using Group By to add another layer of filtering. For instance, if your Left Side Column is Account Name, you could group it by Sold By Rep to organize the data by both client and salesperson.
Why This Matters #
Tip: Once you understand how pivot tables work, you can confidently use all "+" reports in MediaOS—including Product Sales Summary and Invoice Summary & Analysis Reports—to get powerful, on-demand insights.
The above video shows how Contracts+ report works. Other reports with a "+" at the end function nearly identically to this except they have different fields and filters available.
