Quickly finding the information you need is essential to staying productive. Whether you're jumping to a known record or narrowing down complex datasets, MediaOS provides powerful tools to help you search smarter, not harder.
Global Search: Your Quick Access Tool #
The Global Search feature is your go-to tool when you know what you're looking for and want to get there fast.
How to Access Global Search: #
Click the magnifying glass icon in the left-hand menu.

What You Can Search: #
Once you start typing, Global Search will surface matching records, with the best match appearing at the top. You can search by a wide range of fields, including account names (like “Best Buy”), contract or invoice numbers, email addresses, laid-out content, first and last names, import IDs, phone numbers, agency names, and even QuickBooks invoice numbers.
Tip: Global Search gives you a bird’s-eye view across the platform, perfect when you're jumping directly to a known entity.
Page-Level Filters: Precision Searching #
When you’re not sure what exactly you’re looking for or need to refine your results, page-level filters are the way to go. Anywhere you see a table (how MediaOS displays data), you’ll also see a filter icon (funnel symbol). Click it to open up a panel of filtering options specific to that page.

Common Filters in Accounts #
Let’s look at the Accounts page as an example. While there are many filters, here a few commonly used filters to get you started:
Main Filters: #
The main filters in Global Search allow you to narrow your results by key criteria such as Account Owner, List Membership, Tags or Status, and Account Name. These filters help you quickly locate the exact records you're looking for.
Sales Filters: #
Sales Filters let you refine your search based on revenue-related activity. You can filter by products purchased, past-due invoices, the last running line item, or identify inactive accounts based on a specified time period. These options make it easy to target accounts based on financial engagement.
Location Filters: #
- Location Filters allow you to search and segment records based on geographic details, including city, state, ZIP code, or country. These filters are especially useful for region-specific outreach or reporting.
Contest Filters (if enabled): #
Contest Filters (if enabled) allow you to search based on contest participation history, making it easy to track engagement across promotional campaigns. These filters can be combined with others to create highly specific searches. For example, you can search for “all accounts owned by me with no activity in the past 3 weeks” by layering multiple filters together.
Dynamic Filtering Features #
Dynamic Filtering Features in MediaOS make finding data faster and more intuitive. With type-to-filter dropdowns, you can simply start typing part of a value—like “.com” to quickly locate web-related products—instead of scrolling through long menus. Context-aware filters automatically adjust based on your selections. For example, once you choose a product, related filters such as issues or unit sizes will instantly update to match that product.
Note: This smart filtering adapts as you go, ensuring your filters stay relevant to previous selections.
Saving and Managing Filtered Views #
Once you've dialed in your filters, don’t start from scratch next time!
Save your search: #
- Click Save as New Tab.
Manage saved tabs: #
To manage your saved tabs, use the dropdown menu next to the tab name. From there, you can edit filters, close the view (and reopen it later using the + button), add the tab to your dashboard for quick access, or delete duplicates or outdated filters to keep your workspace organized.
