How is Email Processed with MediaOS

How is Email Processed and Saved #

When your email account receives an email, MediaOS automatically reviews the email and decides whether or not to save it. The following process is followed when an email is received via any method.

Step 1: Email is received.

Step 2: MediaOS checks the email to see if ASG:DNI exists in the body. If so, the email is discarded.

Step 3: The system checks the To and From addresses. This is to see if the email was sent from an internal email address to another internal email address. If so, the email is discarded.

Step 4:

Part 1: If the email is from a User in MediaOS, the system conducts a search to see if the To recipient’s email address exists in MediaOS. Then, if there is a match, the email is saved to the related contact’s account and linked to the MediaOS User who sent the email.

Part 2: If the email is not from a User in MediaOS, the system conducts a search to see if the From recipient’s email address exists in MediaOS. If there is a match, the email is saved to the related contact’s account and linked to the MediaOS User who received the email.

MediaOS does not save any email data except emails sent via MediaOS or those matching the above process.

Mass Emails #

All email campaigns sent from MediaOS are relayed through SendGrid. Mass emails are not relayed through an individual user’s email account.
