How to Use Content Aggregation in MediaOS

Content aggregation in MediaOS allows you to embed stories from trusted sources directly into your website. This helps reduce the need for original content creation while ensuring your site remains updated with high-quality material.

Follow these step-by-step instructions to set up and manage content aggregation. Watch our video at the bottom of this article and/or follow the steps laid out below. By following these steps, you can effectively use MediaOS’s content aggregation feature to streamline content management and enhance your website’s value.


Step 1: Accessing Content for Websites

  1. Please note this is a different section than Content for Delivery
  2. Log in to your MediaOS dashboard.
  3. Navigate to the Websites - Content
  4. Click Manage Sources tab.

Step 2: Add and Approve Content Sources

  1. Click on Add New Source.
  2. Enter the following details for each source:
    • Source Name (e.g., a news site or industry blog)
    • Source Logo (optional)
    • Content Feed URL (RSS or other feed format)
  3. If the source requires a paywall login, follow the instructions to authenticate access.
  4. Click Save to add the source to your list.

Step 3: Review and Approve Content

  1. After adding sources, go to the Pending Content section.
  2. Review the articles and stories pulled in from your sources.
  3. Use AI-generated excerpts to quickly assess the content.
  4. Approve or reject each piece based on relevance to your site.
  5. Once approved, the content is ready to be embedded on your website.

Step 4: Embed Content on Your Website

  1. Open the Content Embedding section.
  2. Copy the drop-in embed code for the approved content.
  3. Paste this code into your website’s content section or article pages.
  4. Save and publish the changes.
  5. The content will now appear on your site with proper attribution.

Step 5: Customize Your Content Feed

  1. Go to the Content Feed Settings page.
  2. Choose how content is displayed using:
    • Categories (e.g., News, Technology, Sports)
    • Filters (date range, keywords, source types)
  3. Adjust settings based on your site’s requirements.
  4. Click Save Changes to apply customizations.

Step 6: Engage with the Content

  1. Click on any embedded article to view it directly on your site.
  2. If the content is from an external source, you will be redirected to the original article.
  3. Ensure proper attribution is given to external sources.
